Shay's beauty career started earlier than most she reclaims the members of her riding in the backseat of her family car. Her preschool eyes were watching her mother put on lipstick with one hand while steering the car down the bumpy streets of Houston with the other hand. In complete frustration, she witnessed her mother not fully coloring in the top part of her lips (near the cupid bow). Eventually, Shay took it upon herself to show her mom how she had fully colored in all the characters and shapes in her coloring book. It was my first tutorial— she somehow at five years of age was already a beauty expert. Being observant was a superpower of hers and she used it often. Living in a culturally rich and diverse community, the always visually attentive Shay was obsessed with everyone’s unique features and customs. Mentally she claims it was like "Westside Story, Aladdin, and Coming to America swirling all around her". Developing the ability to see the beauty in everything and everyone around her to this day. Today Shay is adamant about being involved with her community and is often volunteering and participating in local area projects as much as possible. Holding a special fondness for initiatives that help support and uplift women and creatives.

Within a fifteen year span of time, Shay has been the key component in several areas of the entertainment industry.
Holding titles as in PR and Creative Director for elaborate fashion shows, photography and commercial sets, to working as a talent booker and more.
She has gained a large understanding of what it takes to make "the show go on" giving her a deep respect for the vision of any crew.
These experiences and her exuberant personality has made her an asset both on and off camera for ; Ad campaigns and Beauty, health and wellness TV Networks such as The Live Well Network, The CW and ABC News as a Beauty Television Correspondent.
Nonetheless, her true love, focus and mastery is makeup artistry for Shay is engulfed in making your face her masterpiece!
For almost a decade, Shay has held a residency with KTRK, the traveling crew of Good Morning America, 20/20 and other ABC/Disney affiliates.
